I have over 15 years of successfully building sales and marketing teams. The bulk of my career was in the travel industry where I quickly jumped up the corporate ladder within Omni Hotels in Chicago and was promoted into the role of Global Sales and Marketing for Business Travel segment for over 50 hotels and resorts. I held that role for over 12 years. Life was very exciting, very full - and I loved being in the thick of it. I loved being instrumental in developing programs that built revenue for large global companies at a hotel chain that was small enough that I could get involved in many different roles and make a significant difference for my internal customers and large global organizations.
I then went onto American Express where I developed and sold consulting programs around hotel, air and policy for corporate clients.
I got bitten by the e commerce bug and grew my interest in technology, branding and business development, which led me to an established DC based company called CertifiKid (think groupon for families!)
I launched the Chicago market, branded and grew key customers through a hyper-local approach around business development, sales strategy and helping companies grow their business during the recession. Social Media was becoming a way to target local customers and I could see the success that business owners saw when creative content became apart of a marketing strategy. Targeting and engaging local audiences to grow businesses quickly became my new passion.
Personally? You'll find me running around my local community chasing 2 busy kids and 1 busy husband. I love living and breathing my own community and helping local businesses grow and thrive through building communities both online and offline.
